Donggil Seo is a seasoned TV development producer and series producer/director/editor, as well as a digital creator with 10 years of experience in producing, directing, and editing both long- and short-form content across South Korea and the UK.

Over the past decade in the unscripted television industry, he has developed a robust creative and production skill set — from concept development and on-location directing to editing, post-production and final delivery.

웃는 사장(Chefs Incognito​), which he developed, series produced, and directed as a format creator in 2023 for major South Korean broadcaster JTBC, was the first cooking competition format of its kind — a celebrity chefs’ delivery food sales competition show — introducing a pioneering format to the South Korean unscripted TV landscape.

도시어부(City Angler) Seasons 1, 2, and 3, which he produced and directed for major South Korean broadcaster Channel A, was nominated for Best Unscripted Entertainment Show at the 2018 Baeksang Arts Awards and received a commendation from the Korean Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries in 2021. This recognition highlighted its high popularity, novelty and its role in redefining fishing as an accessible and entertaining reality TV concept.

Leveraging the hands-on experience gained through years of producing authentic reality shows, Donggil has expanded his creative scope to include short-form digital content that resonates emotionally with viewers — engaging, relatable, and visually captivating. His digital projects span collaborations with public institutions, global brands, and personal initiatives.

His independent social project, Solo Clubbing, has rapidly grown into a community-driven platform, achieving over 2 million views and a 150-fold follower increase within a month. Donggil believes that in today’s saturated short-form content landscape, authenticity and sincerity are what truly connect with audiences — and that genuine connection is what defines originality and lasting success.
